The businessman and former member of the Armenian Parliament Khachatur Sukiasyan expressed his discontent with the Special Investigation Department, for dismissing his case for "lack of evidence." The businessman`s lawyer Ara Zakaryan said that the case should have been dismissed "in the absence of crime in the act".

The Defense plans to file a petition and, if failed in Armenia, is ready to apply to the European Court of Human Rights.

Armenian News-NEWS.am reminds readers that at the 2008 presidential election in Armenia Khachatur Sukiasyan supported Levon Ter-Petrosyan. After the tragic events in Yerevan on March 1, 2008, he was on the list of wanteds for several months, whereafter he gave himself up to the police.
