YEREVAN. – If the investigators have evidence, they have to proceed with this, and there has to be no political obstacles, acting PM Nikol Pashinyan said commenting on MP Aram Harutyunyan's case.

As reported earlier, Prosecutor General Artur Davtyan on Monday petitioned to the NA, and with a request to give its consent for launching criminal proceedings against Harutyunyan, and for remanding him in custody.

Aram Harutyunyan is accused of taking a $14mn bribe.

However, the dissolved National Assembly failed to hold a meeting on Tuesday for lack of a quorum.

“The dissolved National Assembly has created a political obstacle,” Pashinyan told reporters.
