The already dissolved National Assembly (NA) of Armenia on Wednesday will again try to have quorum in order to convene its session; but it seems this is not possible yet, just like on Tuesday.

A total of 53 MPs need to be present in the NA Sessions’ Hall to have quorum to kick off a sitting.

There are several matters on the session’s agenda. But the most noteworthy matter is with respect to whether the legislature would give its consent for launching criminal proceedings against former ruling Republican Party of Armenia’s NA Faction member Aram Harutyunyan, and for detaining him.

As reported earlier, Prosecutor General Artur Davtyan on Monday petitioned to the NA, and with a request to give its consent for launching criminal proceedings against Harutyunyan, and for remanding him in custody.

Aram Harutyunyan is accused of taking a $14mn bribe.
