The international observation missions have been assessing very highly the elections in Armenia and that is extremely important, as it reflects on the nature of cooperation we have with our partners, Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan said in his address to the Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum in Tbilisi.

“The primary objectives of the Government of the past months were based on the very clear mandate of the public, a huge, strong mandate of the public and the priority in the list of demands was driven by the issues of justice, anti-corruption, rule of law,” he said.

“We have established a good new political culture in Armenia that I think it will be very difficult to step back from it, including the televised debate amongst the leaders of the political forces competing in the elections.”

Armenia’s foreign policy is strictly pro-Armenian, and this approach we have building in partnerships with the organizations, countries and institutions with stable examples that Armenia would like to achieve. 

“Our relationship with EU is driven exactly by that, bringing its institutional, financial support in what we want to achieve. The same is about the Council of Europe and the OSCE,” he said.
