YEREVAN. – If a foreign military contingent is planned to be deployed in one of the CSTO countries, this issue should be discussed with other member states of this Organization, Russian ambassador to Armenia Sergey Kopyrkin said during a press conference in Yerevan on Tuesday.

His remark came in response to a question regarding an agreement that would ban deployment of foreign military contingents on the territory of the republic with the exception of Russia.

Member states of the Organization have certain understanding and solidarity on the matter.

“No one bans anything. The point is about two sovereign and equal states, and they are building relations in all areas this way,” he said.
