Armenia-Turkey rapprochement does not require new talks regardless of their format, Spokesman for Armenian Foreign Ministry Tigran Balayan told reporters on February 21.

“The Protocols were signed and they must be ratified and implemented without any preconditions. This is the position of official Yerevan and international community,” Balayan noted.

The Armenia-Turkey accords are on the parliamentary agenda of the two states and need to be ratified.  However, Ankara set preconditions, due to which the reconciliation process reached an impasse.
