A Mercedes car and a Scania bus collided on the Yerevan-Meghri highway, as a result of which a person died, Shamshyan.com reported.

According to the source, the accident occurred at around 4pm. The driver of the Mercedes was a resident of the village of Tasik, 24-year-old Arsen Aramyan, the bus driver was an Iranian citizen 46-year-old Mohammad Ali Reza Hasan Bek Boroujerdi. As a result of an accident, the driver of Mercedes and his passengers were taken to the hospital. One of them, Suren Avanesyan, died without regaining consciousness.

An investigation is underway.
