At least four people were injured as a 50-year-old man intentionally drove into a group of people in Germany on Tuesday, AP reported. 

The driver drove toward the city of Essen and was stopped and arrested by police.

According to authorities, the driver made anti-foreigner comments during his arrest. Police said there are indications the suspect suffered from mental illness.
