Hundreds of people wish to join ARF Dashnaktsutyun protest actions near the RA Foreign Ministry building. However, ARFD leadership does not encourage mass involvement, as the city hall has not sanctioned the protests and the increase in number of protesters might induce confrontation with authorities, ARFD leader Vahan Hovhannisyan said at the Sept. 22 press conference.

He thanked numerous citizens who sought to aid the hunger strikers in every possible way. “People bring in the food and water, even offer financial assistance to protesters. We are grateful to all of them,” Hovhannisyan stated.

Leaders of “Heritage” Party — Raffi Hovhannisyan, New Times Party — Aram Karapetyan and politician Hrant Khachatryan joined ARFD protest actions yesterday, Sept. 21. Hovhannisyan declared that ARFD and Heritage will hold joint protests against Armenia-Turkey Protocols. As of September 21, all in all 35 000 signatures opposing the Protocols were collected.

Starting September 15, ARFD members are on hunger strike near the RA Foreign Ministry, whereas a sit-in for amendments to the Protocols occurs in front of the RA Government building.
