Female security guard dies while attempting to steal from Armenia city former bread factory

The female security guard of a former bread factory of Armavir, Armenia, had died while attempting to steal from the factory—and together with her daughter, on January 11.

At around 5:30pm on that day, the police received a report from the operational management center that theft was committed at a non-operating bread factory of Armavir city and that its security guard was hit.

Police officers were dispatched to the scene where they found the dead body of the factory’s female security guard, Geghetsik Gabrielyan, at a workshop of this factory.

The body was sent for an autopsy.

The police inspected the area, and they found a knife and cut copper cables at the scene.

But no other footprints aside from those of the victim and her daughter were detected in the area.

The workshop door—which was always locked—was not damaged. And the daughter herself had not called the police to report this incident, but she had asked someone else to do that. 

According to the forensic doctor’s preliminary conclusion, Gabrielyan had died of a heart attack.

The criminal investigators found out that the female security guard of this former bread factory had entered one of the latter’s workshops—together with her daughter—where, however, she had suffered a heart attack and had fallen from about five meters and died.

The woman had decided to steal from the factory, but she had died at the workshop where she had no right to enter. And to cover up the truth, her daughter had fabricated the story that thieves had entered the factory and hit her mother.

The investigation is still in progress.

The police investigation department is preparing a report on this incident.
