U.S. disagrees with Turkey that it will ratify the Armenia-Turkey accords if Karabakh peace process achieves progress, Assistant Secretary for European and Eurasian Affairs Philip H. Gordon stated in his speech at the Slovak government-hosted GLOBSEC security conference.

Famous analysts, politicians and diplomats from Europe and U.S. attended the conference.

U.S. supported the normalization process and U.S. Secretary of State made great efforts for reconciliation of Armenia-Turkey relations. However, the normalization process stooped. Turkey says it would ratify the Protocols, if Karabakh peace process achieves progress. The Unites States considers Armenia-Turkey relations should not be linked with other problems. U.S. reiterates its position and considers the parties should advance and ratify the Protocols, Gordon emphasized.
