In an interview with “Aravot” daily, the political scientist Stepan Grigorian did not rule out the possibility of military hostilities in the contact line of armed forces of Nagorno-Karabakh Republic and Azerbaijan. He stressed the initiative on Karabakh conflict resolution should not be transferred to another country, including Russia as a preventive measure.

“All the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairing countries should work for military provocations to be impossible in the region. Besides, we are always in tension. Unless a basic peace document is signed, the tension will increase obviously and likelihood of war will be great. We should not allow a likelihood of war to reach a critical point. This is the problem of the conflicting parties and the co-chairs,” Grigoryan stressed.
