The ad hoc parliamentary commission for the March 1-2 events will report to Parliament ahead of schedule, Commission Chairman Vice-Speaker of the RA Parliament Samvel Nikoyan said in his interview with the “168 zham” newspaper.

However, Naira Zohrabyan, a commission member of the Prosperous Armenia Party, believes any haste to be inadvisable. In her interview with NEWS. am she pointed out that the Commission was to present its report before September 25, and the time left might be used for a more detailed examination of the facts. If necessary, she said, the summer holiday can be canceled. Zohrabyan does not rule out that the Commission will make a different decision and present a report earlier, at a special session of the Parlament.

The Commission are currently studying the materials provided by the fact-finding group. Zohrabyan’s proposal for questioning the four policemen that used Cheryemukha gas against people has not yet been approved. However, she said, the policemen appear before the Commission if, after examining the materials, the fact-finding group considers it necessary.
