April 24 must serve an occasion for Armenia to withdraw its signature from Armenia-Turkey Protocols, Giro Manoyan, Head of the Hay Dat (Armenian Cause) office, ARF Dashnaktsutyun told reporters on Thursday. He stressed no progress will be achieved in Armenia-Turkey normalization process on the eve of parliamentary elections in Turkey.

“We should make correct moves, following Armenia’s national interests. We should not let Turkey speculate the documents in the Karabakh peace process,” Manoyan emphasized.

The ARFD member also referred to Azerbaijan’s threats on shooting aircrafts flying to Nagorno-Karabakh, if Stepanakert reopens its airport. Manoyan labeled Azerbaijan’s statement as an “absurd step.” “It will be the outbreak of war. It will not be a mere ceasefire violation, but a beginning of war,” he said.

Manoyan stressed the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs and the international community should condemn Azerbaijan’s statement.
