"U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton called Armenia and Turkey to fulfil their commitment to normalize relations. She said Washington “firmly supports” Armenia-Turkey normalization and will be backing the process.
Clinton told the Foreign Ministers of the two countries to proceed apace and not get bogged down by political opposition to a deal. She said the normalization “should take place without preconditions and within a reasonable timeframe,” Associated Press informs.
Clinton met with Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Turkey within the framework of 64th session of U.N. General Assembly in New York, September 28.
Several days ago, Turkish side declared that the released Armenia-Turkey Protocols will be signed in Zurich on October 10. However, Armenian side has not confirmed this information yet.
