YEREVAN. - Famous Armenian musician, the master of Armenian duduk Djivan Gasparyan will give a joint concert in Armenia this autumn together with “Moscow Virtuosos” Chamber Orchestra headed by Vladimir Spivakov.

During the press conference on Wednesday Gasparyan said they had a concert in Russian capital on March 26, while another performance is scheduled for April 29 in the Moscow Kremlin.

“We will play works of Bach, Mozart, Komitas and Yekmalyan,” he said.

Speaking of musicians’ status in Armenia, Gasparyan recalled he had left the country in 90s.

“Our money was robbed, they became richer, while we became homeless and were urged to leave our Motherland to feed our families,” he said.

Renowned musician noted he intends to release a new CD but added he is indignant at piracy.  

“Pirates are selling CDs without my music but with my photo and name on it, it is outrageous. It is a stain upon my name and reputation,” he emphasized.
