Minister of Justice of Armenia Rustam Badasyan today received the delegation led by Vice-President of the High Council of the Judiciary of Italy David Ermini.

The justice minister welcomed the high-ranking delegates to the Ministry of Justice and underscored the existence and necessity of the potential to develop cooperation.

Vice-President David Ermini expressed gratitude for the reception and underscored the agreement that the High Council of the Judiciary of Italy has reached with the Supreme Judicial Council to develop cooperation between the two institutions and sign a memorandum of cooperation soon.

Minister Badasyan welcomed the agreement and touched upon the content of the package of laws for judicial reforms that has been developed through close cooperation with the Supreme Judicial Council of Armenia and will help verify judges’ integrity through a new toolkit.

Attaching importance to the need for strengthening of social guarantees of judges, Rustam Badasyan informed that the government already has the political will to essentially raise the salaries of judges starting in 2020.
