YEREVAN. – Member of the ARF Dashnaktsutyun Giro Manoyan considers that the part of U.S. State Department’s report concerning political prisoners has political coloring.

“The report will have a certain effect in the West as Armenia’s assessment on the whole. It may serve as a guideline,” he told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

When asked whether the report will be a basis for changes in Armenia and pro-government circles, Manoyan noted, it will make the president ponder on the situation.

“The image of the policy is important for Armenian president, however, it would hardly bring about changes for other circles,” he said.
