· The Azerbaijani Armed Forces opened fire Tuesday at around 10:00-10:30 p.m. in the direction of the Armenian village, Armenian MOD spokesperson Artsrun Hovhannisyan wrote on his Facebook.
At around midnight the Azerbaijani armed forces continued shelling in the Tavush direction, he later noted adding that the adversary stopped shooting after the response from the Armenian Armed Forces.
The Armenian side didn’t suffer casualties.
· The US State Department commented on Senate’s adoption of Res. 150 recognizing the Armenian Genocide.
“The position of the Administration has not changed. Our views are reflected in the President’s definitive statement on this issue from last April,” a short statement on State Department’s official website reads.
According to Armenian National Committee of America (ANCA) executive director Aram Hamparian, "it’s unclear how long President Trump remains loyal to Erdogan.” He added that after the resolution was adopted by Senate and House, the President finds himself isolated and alone as the last of Washington’s Ankara apologists.
The police officers who arrived at the scene detained this 28-year-old Metsamor resident, and took him to a police station.
A gas pistol with a factory serial number was found in his possession, and it was sent for forensic examination.
· The Dutch Senate has unanimously ratified the Armenia-EU deal, Armenian Embassy in the Netherlands’s press service reported.
Nearly two dozen European countries have already ratified the EU-Armenia CEPA.
A Gyumri resident, born in 1999, tied her daughter's—born in September 2018—hands and feet with an adhesive tape, wrapped a skirt in her mouth, then moved the child out of the apartment and placed her in a trash can on the street.
The child died of suffocation due to closure of her respiratory tract by food. Criminal charges have been brought against the young woman.
