The National Assembly of Armenia today kicked off a session, and with only one issue on the agenda.

Parliament is debating, in the second reading, on bill on making amendments and addenda to law on local referendum.

The bill refers to the launch of a local referendum by the inhabitants of the communities, in the case of a government legislative initiative on the unification or separation of the respective communities.

The bill also notes that the results of this local referendum are of an advisory nature.
