YEREVAN. – The car importers of Armenia are currently protesting in front of the government building.
Speaking to reporters, Tigran Hovhannisyan, Chairman of the Union of Auto Importers, explained why they have assembled outside the government building.
"Last year we had ordered cars, the containers have not unloaded those cars; as of January 31, about 300 cars have remained out of our [car] market; all those cars are at Bagratashen customs house [on the Georgian border]," he said. “We have sent letters to the Prime Minister to allow us to import the last 300 cars to Armenia. We have been waiting for that answer for three weeks."
