YEREVAN. – The National Security Service (NSS) investigators seized his computer and certain documents related to the case from the office of Vahagn Vermishyan, Chairman of the Urban Development Committee. NSS investigator Vagharshak Ghazaryan said this in a conversation with journalists.

"The NSS carried out operational work here, we're done," the NSS official said. “Our press service will let you know the rest. Purely in the interests of the investigation, I cannot say more. There was a computer and some documents related to the case."

Asked if Vermishyan was apprehended, the NSS representative said he was not.

"There will be an official announcement in due course," he added.

Hraparak.am had earlier reported that unidentified persons, who were conducting a search in the office of Vahagn Vermishyan, took him and his computers with them.

According to the website, there is a criminal case filed against Vermishyan on corruption and backing charges, but Vermishyan, in a conversation with Hraparak.am, had denied his involvement in the criminal case.
