Armenian Constitutional Court head Hrayr Tovmasyan has declined to comment on scandalous bills on constitutional amendments.

“I have already said several times that I do not evaluate bills,” he told Armenian News - NEWS.am.

One of the bills provides for an amendment to the transitional provisions of the Constitution, according to which the powers of the members of the Constitutional Court, elected before April 2018, are suspended. 

“Regarding all these phenomena, I will definitely say something,” Tovmasyan said.

The deputy chair of the Constitutional Court of Armenia Alvina Gyulumyan, in her turn, said: “They will decide, then we'll talk.”

The ruling My Step bloc after the meeting of the ambassadors of the EU and OSCE countries with parliament speaker Ararat Mirzoyan this evening, recalled the scandalous bills.
