YEREVAN. – In 2019, the trade between Armenia and Belarus recorded a historical maximum, exceeding $83 million, which is 45% higher than in 2018. Belarusian Minister of Forestry Vitaly Drozhzha said this at the 14th meeting of the Armenian-Belarusian Intergovernmental Commission, in Yerevan.

According to him, despite this positive trend, it is important to work on strengthening their cooperation, implementing new projects, and producing new types of competitive products. "There has been considerable success since the last session of the intergovernmental commission," he added. "Forty five out of 59 instructions have been fulfilled, cooperation has intensified in practically all areas (...), a large number of exhibitions have taken place."

The Belarusian minister stressed the importance of cooperation in forestry, too, adding that Belarus has recently provided Armenia with 50,000 saplings of pine.
