YEREVAN. - Famous Armenian weightlifter Yuri Vardanyan is recovering, Vardanyan’s sisters told Armenian News-NEWS.am on Wednesday.

According to his relatives, Vardanyan will be transferred to ward in two days. At the moment he is in intense care department at Erebuni medical centre. Vardanyan has no life-threatening injuries. He is conscious and is speaking with his with his family.

As Armenian News-NEWS.am reported earlier, Adviser to Armenian President, famous Armenian weightlifter Yuri Vardanyan had a car accident on Yerevan-Gyumri highway, on October 8, 2011. His Lexus collided with a tractor. Yuri Vardanyan was hospitalized and operated on October 10 last year. However, recently Vardanyan has suffered fracture in Moscow.
