A World Health Organization car carrying out COVID-19 surveillance samples has been attacked, leaving driver killed, Reuters reported referring to the United Nations.

“The WHO colleague was driving a marked UN vehicle from Sittwe to Yangon transporting COVID19 surveillance samples in support of the Ministry of Health and Sports,” it said.

It is still unknown who carried out an attack, however, both the army and Arakan Army insurgents accused each other.
