French police have seized 140 thousand smuggled medical masks designed for sale on the black market, BBC reported.
There have been several seizures of masks in the Paris region since the pandemic began: 29,000 masks found in Aubervilliers and 32,000 masks seized in Saint-Ouen, both to the north of Paris.
The French government had earlier banned the resale of face masks to prioritize their free distribution to healthcare professionals.
