YEREVAN. - Armenia’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Ambassador Karen Nazaryan sent a letter addressed to organization’s Secretary General Ban Ki-moon in response to letter issued by the Azerbaijani side.
The letter mentions Azerbaijan’s attempts to spread misinformation and using child’s life as a tool of propaganda, Armenian Foreign Ministry’s press service informed Armenian News-NEWS.am. Instead Azerbaijan must abandon provocations in the line of contact which threatens to regional peace and stability.
Such actions violate provisions of ceasefire agreement signed between Azerbaijan, Nagorno-Karabakh and Armenia in 1994, the letter says.
It also mentions that Azerbaijan must respect calls of UN Secretary General and OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs to remove snipers from the line of contact.
