During a visit to Gyumri today, member of the council of Homeland Party Arsen Babayan met with Gor Martirosyan, who has been on a hunger strike for 21 days now. Babayan also posted a video of his meeting on his Facebook page.

During a conversation with Babayan, Martirosyan said whereas the former authorities left the people moneyless, the current authorities have left the people foodless.

“The current authorities aren’t helping citizens like me get back on our feet. I’m frustrated at the current authorities because citizens currently don’t have the right to freedom of speech. I’ve been on a hunger strike for 21 days and this hasn’t been made public. This means the authorities have exerted pressure on the healthcare industry. Current Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is concealing the situation in the country and the demonstrations of citizens protesting against him and doesn’t want to hear people say bad things about him,” Gor Martirosyan said, adding that he will march from Gyumri to Yerevan to demand Pashinyan’s resignation and called on citizens to join him.
