A bride from Saudi Arabia demanded the groom to present the COVID-19 test on her wedding day, fearing possible infection from her future husband, RIA Novosti reported, citing the Al-Okaz newspaper.

She told the newspaper that she asked her family to inform him about it for fear of contracting the disease after one of her relatives died of complications after contracting the coronavirus. The newspaper does not specify whether the groom complied with her requirements, but writes that the wedding took place.

Saudi Arabia has confirmed over 308.5 thousand COVID-19 cases, while 282,888 people have recovered, and the death toll has approached 4 thousand.
