The government of Kazakhstan has declared that it is lifting the lockdown, Tengrinews.kz.

General doctor Ayzhan Yemagambetova has made changes in the relevant governmental decree.

Trains, inter-city and suburban buses have started operating in the country again. Cultural institutions, sport centers and swimming pools, as well as religious institutions can reopen in case of maintaining sanitary conditions.

On July 29, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev had extended the term of the lockdown.

More than 100,000 people have been infected with the coronavirus and 1,523 have died in Kazakhstan.
