YEREVAN. - Armenia’s new Ombudsman Karen Andreasyan is ready to go to the extent permitted by law, he said during “100 Questions and Answers” discussion organized by the Civilitas Foundation.

Asked to comment on reports of international organizations regarding poor protection of freedom of speech in Armenia, human rights defender avoided making assessments. Even if the shortcomings mentioned in the reports are exaggerated, it is necessary to respond and solve the problems, he added. Andreasyan assured Ombudsman’s office will carefully study all submitted reports.
