Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu and his Hungarian counterpart answered the journalists’ questions on Armenia-Turkey Protocols at the press conference.

Commenting on Diaspora’s protests against signing of the Protocols, Davutoglu said: “Do not expect any statement from Turkish or Armenian side on this matter. Switzerland is to make statements. To date we have not specify the exact date, however said that it would be signed shortly. We consider there is no ground for concern.”

Foreign Minister underlined that Armenian and Azerbaijani Presidents have already met four times since May this year, but it does not mean that Karabakh conflict would be settled in Chisinau. The dispute has 17-year history and it is wrong to expect its resolution at a meeting.

Asked whether RA President will arrive in Turkey October 14, Davutoglu replied: “Definitely, we wish Mr. Sargsyan to visit Turkey to watch Armenia-Turkey return match. As is known, last year Turkish President went to Armenia having no relations with this country and it was the start of present outcomes. We expect Mr. Sargsyan to arrive without any preconditions.”
