A new group of specialists from the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) has arrived in Nagorno-Karabakh [(Artsakh)], RIA Novosti reported Sunday, citing the ministry.

"Specialists of the Russian MES have arrived in [the Nagorno-Karabakh capital] Stepanakert. From tomorrow, they will begin to carry out the tasks of the humanitarian mission," the MES statement said.

It is noted that the new group consists of cynologists, pyrotechnicians, mountain rescuers, communication specialists, as well as rescuers and psychologists.

In addition, three passenger buses, machinery, and equipment were sent to Stepanakert.

"Rescuers continue to provide assistance to the affected population of Nagorno-Karabakh. Today 4 tons of furniture were transported. More than 65 tons of the Russian MES humanitarian aid that was transferred earlier has already been distributed among the residential areas," the statement also said.

On November 9, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, and Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a joint statement on a complete cessation of hostilities— which Azerbaijan had launched on September 27—in and around Artsakh. Accordingly, Russian peacekeepers are deployed in the region to monitor the implementation of the ceasefire and the cessation of hostilities.
