US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo says the US has imposed sanctions on Asma Assad, the wife of the President of Syria, TASS reported.
Pompeo added that sanctions have also been imposed on members of her immediate family for harming efforts to reach a political solution in the nearly decade-long civil war in Syria.
