Argentina's upper house of parliament on Wednesday approved a law on the legalization of abortion, TASS reported.
Currently, abortion in Argentina is allowed only in cases of rape, as well as when the life of the mother or fetus is threatened. In other cases, artificial termination of pregnancy is considered a crime.
