YEREVAN. – Justice should become a public demand, said Armenian Minister of Justice Hrayr Tovmasyan.
The problem of justice has two aspects - legal and mental, he said during “100 questions, 100 answers” discussion organized by the Civilitas Foundation. Amendments to legislation are necessary, but will not solve the problem. It is important to change people’s way of thinking so that justice and fairness will become a public demand.
Public opinion polls show that considerable part of Armenia’s population is ready to accept illegal actions to achieve their purposes, even if they are legitimate, the minister said.
