UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres spoke about the neo-Nazis of the COVID-19 pandemic era, Al Jazeera reported.

His remarks came during a service in memory of the Holocaust victims in a New York synagogue.

According to him, Europe and the US are trying to distort the history of the Holocaust, supporters of white supremacy brainwash people and demonstrate the symbols of the Nazis.

He noted that the COVID-19 pandemic has opened new avenues for neo-Nazi activity as while everyone is at home because of the quarantine, white supremacists and neo-Nazis are incite fear and hatred online - taking advantage of the state of anxiety in people and social instability.

Thus, people are invited to turn into biological weapons, the Secretary-General said.
