Facebook is developing smartwatches that it intends to release to the market next year, Information reported.

The sources said that the smartwatches will help users to send messages via Facebook services. The watches will also have fitness and health monitoring functions.

According to Verge, the device will run on the Android operating system.  Facebook is also working on its operating system for gadgets, which may be installed on new versions of the device.
