Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan made a small coup attempt, opposition ARF Dashnaktsutyun member Gegham Manukyan said during an opposition rally in Yerevan on Tuesday.

According to him, the defense ministry has appointed a senior officer of the armed forces. 

“Until that moment, no one in the Armenian Armed Forces had been appointed to a post with a similar title,” Manukyan noted.

The former Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Armenia, Lieutenant General Artak Davtyan was appointed to the post of senior officer on special assignments.
