The world is threatened by interruptions in toilet paper amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Bloomberg reported. At a time when stores are once again restrained in several countries around the world and consumers are increasing household stocks, toilet paper manufacturers may face a shortage of raw materials.
The reason for the deficit may be an increase in demand for the carriage of goods by sea and a shortage of ships supporting them. Exporters of goods transported in containers were the first to suffer, but now the crisis threatens to spill over to goods delivered by sea in other types of packaging - bags, barrels, boxes, etc.
