China on Sunday shared a video of the Tianwen 1 mission to Mars, Interfax reported.

The video captures the moment of the descent vehicle's parachute opening. There is also a recording of the Zhurong rover leaving the planet's surface with sound and a view of the Martian landscape.

Earlier in June, the rover transmitted images from the surface of Mars to Earth. The Zhurong rover landed from the Tianwen-1 spacecraft on May 15.

For China, this was the first probe landing on another planet. Tianwen 1 was launched on July 23, 2020.

The spacecraft entered Mars orbit in February after nearly seven months of flight and has been selecting a potential landing site for over two months.
