A 2010 World Cup qualifying soccer match between the Armenian and Turkish national teams is to take place at the Ataturk stadium in Bursa, Turkey, at 11:00 p.m. Yerevan time today. The Armenian and Turkish Presidents, Serzh Sargsyan and Abdullah Gul, will attend the match.

NEWS.am asked a number of Armenian political figures for their forecasts of the final score of the game.

Aram Karapetyan, Chairman of the New Times Party: “I wish the Armenian team won. I am sorry, but I think there will be either a draw or our team will lose.”

Armen Martirosyan, Board Chairman, Heritage Party: "From the point of view of sport, without the political component, I think that the Turkish team will win, as, objectively, they are superior to the Armenian team – technically, tactically and physically.

Tigran Karapetyan, Chairman of the Democratic Party: “I want out team to win. I would like it to be so, but I cannot say what the score will be.”

Gaguik Jhanguiryan, Armenian National Congress:

“The game will finish as it has finished until now.”

Victor Dallakyan, Parliament member, member of the Executive Committee of the Football Federation of Armenia: “I wish success to the Armenian team. I am sure out football players will be able to win if they show a game similar to that with the Spanish team.”

Galust Sahakyan: Vice-Chairman of the Republican Party of Armenia: “I cannot forecast the score, but I hope out team will play a successful game.”

Spartak Seyranyan, member of the Executive Council of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF) Dashnaktsutyun, said he does not practice forecasting.

Armen Rustamyan reused to answer the question.
