Over the past 24 hours, 6 people have died from coronavirus in Georgia, according to data from the government website StopCoV.ge. The total number of deaths by Friday morning increased to 16,704, Novosti-Georgia reports.

The number of new cases of coronavirus infection over the past day was 658. The total number of cases for the entire time reached 1,645,959.

The data was obtained on the basis of 22.8 thousand tests. Thus, the detection rate per day was 2.88%, for two weeks - 4.7%, for seven days - 3.63%.

3,478 people recovered, their total number rose to 1,615,166.

There are currently 14,063 active cases of coronavirus in Georgia. Of these, 665 (more than 4% of the total number of patients) are being treated in hospitals. 184 people remain in intensive care units. 13,398 patients are being treated at home.
