The Brazilian government has decided to lift the public health emergency imposed in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
In connection with the improvement of the epidemiological situation, as well as due to the high rates of vaccination of the population and the capabilities of the state healthcare system in terms of providing assistance, conditions have been created to announce today the end of the state of emergency in the health sector on a national scale.
In the coming days, a normative act will be issued that will consolidate this decision, the health ministry said.
