Armenian chess players will participate in Women’s Grand Prix which opens on Tuesday in the Russian city of Rostov-on-Don.

Armenian GM Elina Danielian will face Nadezhda Kosintseva in the first round of the tournament which brought together such players as Hou Yifan, Humpy Koneru, Tatiana Kosintseva, Anna Muzychuk, Alexandra Kosteniuk and others.

Armenia is represented by three chess players in another tournament - World Junior and Junior Girls Championships which opens in India’s Chennai. Robert Hovhanisyan and Samvel Ter-Sahakyan will represent Armenia in junior tournament, and Maria Gevorgyan – in Junior Girls tournament.
