The European Union is preparing a new accusation against Apple in an antitrust case, the Financial Times reported, citing its own sources.

The cause of the lawsuit may be the restriction of the work of Apple Pay by the American corporation.

The publication writes that Apple can be accused of deliberately limiting the functionality of the NFC module, which is used for contactless payments. Right now on the iPhone, only the proprietary Apple Pay app has access to it. Thus, users do not have the opportunity to choose an alternative service.
