YEREVAN. - In Yerevan people daily consume 400 grams of bread per capita, meaning that 1.2 million residents of the capital need 500 tons of bread daily. At the same time, about 50 percents of bread, produced in Yerevan, proved to be of poor quality, the head of Marketing and Monitoring Department of National Association of Consumers Frunze Haytyan told journalists.

The National Association of Consumers registered 170 cases of insufficiency in the quality of bread: it is often raw and contains unwanted microbes. The experts observed disproportion of salt as well. They promised to publish the names of producers, who violate standards in the annually review.
