The price of copper on the last day of spring is rising after the release of business activity index (PMI) data in China, which showed an improvement in the economic situation in this largest importer of industrial metals, according to trading data.
July futures for copper on the Comex stock exchange rises in price by 0.4%, to 4.351 dollars per pound (about 0.45 kilograms).
On the London Metal Exchange (LME), following the results of Monday, the cost of a ton of copper with delivery in three months increased by 0.89%, to $9,543, aluminum - by 0.59%, to $2,888.5, zinc - by 1.48% , up to $3,900.5.
