Tesla will present the final prototype of its own robot in the fall, the Verge reported.

Journalists referred to the Twitter account of the founder of the company Elon Musk where he named the date of the new machine. The entrepreneur said that Tesla AI Day event is scheduled for September 30, at which the corporation could present a working prototype of Optimus.

Tesla announced Optimus in August 2021. The humanoid robot, according to Musk, could take over routine tasks. Journalists joked that Musk's fresh publication was definitely not meant to distract from the news that he plans to lay off about 10 percent of Tesla employees.

Nevertheless, experts were skeptical about the prospects of the American company presenting a working robot prototype. According to the authors, even Boston Dynamics, which worked on the anthropomorphic robot Atlas, failed to achieve success in this area in 10 years.
